Recently I sold a home, which had a Schlage Keyless Lock on the front door. I have to say this door lock really intrigued me. If you have not used or seen one, they are really neat and also attractive too. The front of the doorknob also lights up at night for easy visibility. It has a battery inside the lock that lasts approximately 3 years. I would guess they might be more common in larger markets than mine because until that listing I had not seen one before.
Some the features that really appeal to me were the ease of changing the combination code and the number of code that could be assigned to different users whenever needed. You can give a code to a contractor for the day and then simply delete it right at the keypad when his job is done. No more lost keys to workmen. I purchased one for our office and another for my home. With agents coming and going I think this is a very handy type of door lock to have, since over the years I have had to change all locks more than once. What do you think? Do you have one?

Now that is the way to go; and a lot more convenient.
I was visiting with my locksmith today (another foreclosure had to be keyed) and he said he can fix us up with the keyless entries just like we use for our cars!! Fancy, fancy, fancy.
Tom, It is, if you have a cleaning lady or who ever needs to occassionally get in you can assign their own personal code, then at will delete it if needed.
Barbara too fancy for an REO, cost about $150 or less, there is the savings in having to often rekey too.
I use one for my office. I have a few people coming in and out and I prefer the security of a code over keys. It works great!
Recently our broker put one on the office. It is very handy and easy to use, I particularly do like it very much.
Hello Gail: I just placed one on my office too and it is great.
Hi ya Mary...don't have one...thought about it...seems I heard from someone that they had issues with the buttons freezing....urgh...
