Viroqua Wisconsin: Beware of Hazards

Beware of Hazards

Took this photo while playing some golf during my Flordia vacation. The orange stake signified a lateral water hazard. After carting over for my ball; I determined it was better to take the penalty rather than trying to hit that ball. I may have had to take a stoke but I got the shot.

Yikes - I would certainly NOT be going in the water for that ball!  Be careful!

Mary, we have all kinds of critters on our courses.  A baby gator like that is the least of your worries.  It can speed up play a bit though.  Thanks!

Kevin thanks for the warning, what else is lurking there?

Definitely worth the lost points on that one. It amazes me how gators are in common places in Florida. A little too spooky for my taste.

Mary ~ I would have taken the penalty as well.  You never know, he could have eaten your ball for lunch!

Mary

What would be worst is if you find your ball and it is one of that beast's eggs

Not sure if I would want to trade antlers for alligators...or is that a croc ?

Good decision -- that's really not a hazard we have to worry about hear in Texas.  My husband reported that when he was playing golf in Australia that kangaroos were on the course!

Wow that is really close-I hear they can run up to 30 miles an hour!
