You Betcha... I have no appointment to walk any tracks of wooded country land this weekend. Because dawn tomorrow morning... it's the opening day of the nine day gun season. Yes sir... get out your blazed orange apparel, it will be fashionable this week. If you do plan to tour the countryside, plan to be prepared. The deer-hunting season last until November 30th and no big surprise, I will be choosing to show pretty much homes during that time.
Opening night is always a big party night with a festive and busy atmosphere in all of the little river town bars. The bars are typically packed with hunters who stop in for burgers, a few beers, and the camaraderie of hunters talk. Their sprits are high as they are thinking about climbing into a tree stand come morning, and... hopefully with some luck they will bag a big buck.
Are you searching for homes to buy in Viroqua or Vernon County Wisconsin

You are in your element in northern Wisconsin ! I don't look great in orange and my idea of roughing it is slow room service. We had a pre-marital agreement nothing with antlers on the wall or in the freezer...I know, it's all in how it's prepared,..or so they say....good luck !
Thanks for the Comment Sally! Actually I am in Southwest Wisconsin. Most do not know where Viroqua is as pointed out by Mother Earth. LOL... I agree I am not a big fan of deer hunting either, but it is import to the economy in this part of the state. It is also important to get a lot of deer harvested as the DNR says so less will be hit by cars.
